Govt. Polytechnic,Kendrapara was established in the year of 2013 and since then it has evolved as one of the most esteemed destinations for the students to have a growing career in the technical domain. Besides the academic strength that students achieve here, professional skill development and personality development make the students different among their class. The institution is located ideally beside NH5A, just in the outskirts of district headquarters, Kendrapara and 50 km away from the port city Paradip, the future industrial hub of the state.It provides its students an intensive learning environment to explore and grow. The Institute runs four highly specialized courses in the field of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics& Telecommunication, with a view to train the students to immediately enter the industrial workforce as a highly efficient and productive members of the national skilled workforce and to enter the field of higher education with a wealth of practical experience. 
 

Govt. Polytechnic, Kendrapara has been awarded as the "Best Performing Govt. Polytechnic" of the State for the year 2023-24 in the STATE LEVEL INDEPENDENCE DAY 2024 celebration held at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Bhubaneswar. Dr. Gunanidhi Pradhan, Principal, Govt.
